For over a decade, Sri Gokula Krishna College of Education has trained teachers who carry their classrooms with confidence, curiosity, and care. We sit on the edge of the Dharmapuri hills, close to the Hogenakkal falls — a setting that quietly shapes the way our students learn.
Our two-year B.Ed is built on three commitments: rigorous foundations in educational theory, daily contact with real schools through internships, and a community of mentors who believe teaching is a vocation worth devoting a life to.
Established in 2008 under a quiet trust set up by Settihalli's panchayat elders, SGKCE has trained 2,400+ teachers across seventeen years — most of whom now teach in the very villages they came from.
We are an NCTE-recognised, TNTEU-affiliated teacher education college on twelve acres of land, with a 12,000-volume library, six specialised labs and a community of mentors who believe teaching is a vocation worth devoting a life to.

Campus lifeSGKCE taught me how to listen before I taught. I still remember Prof. Saraswathi's words on my very first demo class — they have stayed with me through ten years of teaching.
The internship was the turning point. Sixteen weeks of real teaching — with mentors who came to watch, take notes, and sit with us at chai afterwards. Nothing prepared me better.
I came from a small town near Hogenakkal. SGKCE gave me confidence, a TET pass in one attempt, and a posting in my own taluk. I get to teach the children of my neighbours now.
Three days of athletics, classical music, theatre and inter-college Tamil oratory. All student-teachers participate.
